clean, clean, clean
I stayed for 3 nights in a Superior Double Room and was impressed by how impeccably clean and light-filled the room was. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a fine view of a neighbor's garden, allowing me to enjoy greenery in the heart of the city. I loved the thoughtful layout with a separate shower, toilet, and sink.
strongly recommend 💖🌟

i greatly enjoyed the breakfast with a good choice of appetising food. i have stayed in queen room with bathroom and cable tv plus balcony for 5 nights. the location in a residential area was excellent and perfect and there were a local market and local markets nearby.
Beds were too soft in this place.

Clean hotel, air conditioned rooms, exceptionally nice location near station & also stop for express airport bus. Location just next door to an excellent cafe, tourist attractions and Thyssen-Bornemisza museums👍😀

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from key art galleries and restaurants while still providing a peaceful atmosphere at night.
The lack of staff available during the night made me feel a bit uneasy as a solo traveler, especially since the access system relies on codes.

Magnificent location within walking distance of a cibeles palace. 16 miles to the airport. Central heating, a safe and multi-channel television in the room and the exceptionally comfortable bed. Nice view.

Consider bringing a portable charger, as there are limited plugs in the room and you might need extra for all your devices.

Great location in the center of Madrid. A little bit "oldscool" and smallrooms but clean. You don't need anythig more to spend nice weekend in Madrid. Very quiet. Some rooms' windows facing nice garde
As other testimonials say, friendly staff did not speak any English, but I do not find this as disadvanatage. I guess that the Her Majesty's Subjects could learn at least basic words in language of country they are travelliing to.

This is a very small, family-run hostel. The location is excellent for anywhere in central Madrid, especially the musuems.
The room was pretty small & basic, but very serviceable.

clean and comfortable beds, ideal location near major art museums, unique architectural charm
Thin walls leading to noise issues from neighbors disrupts peace at night!!! The check-in process was confusing due to unclear instructions about room assignments and door access!!! Limited amenities like bathroom supplies definitely need improvement!!!

The location was excellent - opposite the entrance to the Prado and 10 minutes' walk from the Reina Sofia and the main train station. In the other direction you could get to the Plaza Mayor and the Plaza del Sol within 10 minutes. The room was comfortable, clean and above all, very quiet, with windows on a beautiful garden (Lopez de Vega museum garden).
It would have been nice to have a small, basic breakfast. On the other hand, there are many small cafes (and a big Starbucks) just outside the building. So, this is really more just me being lazy!

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Location in Madrid Bourbon is excellent. Beautiful area, close to Retriro Park and Plaza Cybele -- much quieter than "old Madrid," which is adjacent and an easy walk, but close to music, restaurants, pretty areas.
Room was a bit small by us standards, but not at all out of line for Europe. (Even so, it was spotless and cleaned daily.). Hostal Armesto does not offer any meals. There is a small common area.
